This started with quilting buddies on line but hoping to share with all my friends and family too. Just sharing each day as it comes and enjoying it to the fullest.

Moose in April
We have had the same moose nibbling their way in our yard. Larry was able to get some better shots as he stepped outside. Usually we take the photos through the window. The cows will be dropping their babies soon. One moose is a baby from last year. The other might be the mother.

Fran, isn't wild life wonderful, what a treat to have this elk in your yard. Pretty impressive bit of coal, too. You would not find anything like that on southern beaches.
no coal on beaches around the lower 48, for sure and do you ever feel threatened by the MOOSE? we dont see much out our way--coyotes and rabbits and birds...imagine we will have a fair amount of snakes--havent had one in our yard but ya never know...*~*CAROLE*~*
me again! I am browsing blogs and found my way back to your lovely pictures! I just love wildlife and scenic phots--keep it up--and I hear you are still have snow? lucky you!!! *~*CAROLE*~*
I am wife to one, mother to four, grandmother to TEN. I love living in Alaska! We just moved from Fairbanks in summer 2006 after living there for almost 28 years. We moved to AK from FL where all the children were born. I am originally from Maine however. Married a southerner(GA) who is as crazy over Alaska as I am--hence, we stay.
