Well, this quilt is finally done and hanging on my wall. I am keeping this one and might even put it in a quilting show or two. I like how it came out and it was something I just put together on my own. I had the center blocks of the birds and decided to do it all in beloved batiks. I took it with me one summer--maybe two or so ago--to the cabin here in Anchor Point. This is what I dreamed up. It went back to Fairanks and it was finished there with borders and then it came back to Anchor Point and I finally got it on the frame this past winter. And I just finished the binding the other day. I hope some of you will critique it and tell me what you think. Please leave a comment if you can.

WOW FRANIE!!!! impressive! I would have preferred to see eagles in there :o)) but it turned out terrific!!!if you get tired of it you can send it my way! *~*CAROLE*~*
Your wall hanging looks very nice and the colors you chose give it a calming look. :o)
The sashing and border compliment the blocks very well. I'd say go ahead and enter it into a show!
WOW!!! GORGIOUS is all I can say. You did a great job and for sure you should enter it in a show! Very peaceful and calming colors and of course I LOVE batiks too!

Nicely done Fran. Isn't it fun to create something all your own. You can be proud, I wish I could see it up close.
Batiks are among my favorites, of course, and these colors go so well with the birds. The blue looks kind of like ocean water in the photo, too. Why not enter it? It hangs straight. =)
